Kasnick Photography - Okefenokee Swamp
Welcome to the Okefenokee Swamp. This swamp, located in
the SE corner of Georgia, has long been considered a dark
and mysterious place. It is about 30 miles in diameter, and is
composed of a shallow dish that has filled in with water and
over the millenium, with the flora and fauna of a swamp. It is
populated with fish, aligators, many birds and plants of all
natures. It was heavily harvested of cypress for almost 100
years. For many years, a family with a dozen children lived in
the center, with no electric, and who commuted to the outside
by boat.

I am departing from my norm in the slide show. Since these
pictures were all taken from a boat, I usually took only one of
each subject. Therefore, I am posting the entire 71 pictures
that I took last October of 08. Enjoy the show!
